LC-MS
Liquid chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry: separation followed by mass measurement of the separated components.
The chromatography answers 'how much', and the mass spectrometry answers 'what'. Tandem MS extends this to sequence-level evidence by fragmenting the molecule.
