What is collected, why, and how to have it removed.

What is collected
Therapept collects an email address when someone subscribes to the newsletter, together with the page the subscription came from. Nothing else is required to use the site.
If you email the editorial desk, that correspondence is retained so it can be answered and, where it results in a correction, so the change has a record.
Analytics
Therapept records aggregate usage — which pages are read, which searches are run, which outbound links are followed — in order to understand which material is useful. Search terms are recorded in aggregate rather than against an individual.
Analytics events are only sent when a privacy-respecting analytics provider is configured for the environment. When none is configured, the site collects nothing.
Outbound campaign parameters
Links to commercial properties carry campaign parameters identifying the Therapept page that sent the visit. Those parameters describe the referring page, not the reader.
Processors
The site is hosted on Vercel. Newsletter storage and transactional email use third-party providers where those are configured for the environment. No data is sold, and none is shared beyond what is needed to operate the site.
Your choices
Every newsletter email carries a one-click unsubscribe. To have your address removed, or to ask what is held about you, email editorial@therapept.com.
