Corrections policy
How to correct something on this site, and what happens after you do.
Last updated 3 September 2026
Who can submit a correction
Anyone. Readers, laboratories, suppliers and the companies being described are all equally able to submit one, and are handled the same way.
What to include
Email editorial@therapept.com with the page URL, the specific field or sentence that is wrong, what it should say, and a source that supports the correction.
A correction supported by a source can usually be applied quickly. One without a source needs more work, and may end up recorded as a stated disagreement rather than an amendment.
What happens next
A correction that is supported by a source is applied, and the record's review date is updated. Where the change is material — a reversed capability, a withdrawn accreditation, a changed regulatory status — the page notes what changed.
A disagreement that is not supported by a source is recorded on the page rather than suppressed. Therapept does not quietly remove material because the subject objects to it.
Where a company disputes a field that was recorded from that company's own public pages, the recorded wording and the date it was read are both retained, since the page may since have changed.
Removal requests
Therapept does not remove accurate, sourced records on request. A company can ask for a factual field to be corrected, and can supply information to fill a field currently marked unknown.
