Advertising and sponsorship policy
What can be bought, what cannot, and how paid material is labelled.

What payment can buy
Placement. A paid listing can appear in a more prominent position, and a paid partner can be named in a contextual placement alongside relevant material.
What payment cannot buy
The following are not available at any price, and an approach that assumes otherwise will be declined:
- A change to a factual field in a directory record.
- Removal or softening of a scope note, data caveat or operational status.
- Removal of a disclosure label.
- A rating or endorsement. Therapept does not publish ratings.
- Suppression of a sourced correction, or of a competitor's record.
- Editorial coverage presented as independent.
- Any claim Therapept's editorial boundaries prohibit — dosing, protocols, therapeutic or outcome claims.
Labelling
Sponsored and paid material is labelled on the surface where it appears, not only in this policy. The label is placed above the content it applies to.
Paid placements are marked so that they pass no search ranking signal.
Declining business
Therapept declines paid placement for material that would require a claim it will not make, and for businesses whose public marketing makes human-use claims for unapproved substances.
