A labelling statement indicating a product is not intended for use in humans. In US regulation the phrase is specifically defined for in vitro diagnostic products.
Broader use of the phrase across research chemical sales is an industry convention. Regulatory status turns substantially on intended use as evidenced by the totality of a product's presentation, not on a disclaimer alone.
