Certificate of analysis (COA)
A document recording the results of specific analytical tests performed on a sample from a specific lot, on a stated date, by a stated laboratory.
A COA is evidence about the sample tested, not about a product line. Its usefulness depends almost entirely on whether the lot identifier, method and laboratory are present and resolvable.
