Bacterial endotoxin test (LAL)
A test for bacterial endotoxin using limulus amebocyte lysate or a recombinant equivalent, reported against a stated limit.
Endotoxin is a separate property from purity, identity and sterility. A material can be chromatographically pure and still carry endotoxin, and no other analysis implies an endotoxin result.
