Amino acid analysis (AAA)
A determination that hydrolyses a peptide into its constituent amino acids and quantifies them, used to establish net peptide content and to support composition.
AAA answers a question chromatographic purity cannot: what fraction of the sample mass is actually peptide, as opposed to counterion, water and residual salts. It is the usual basis for a stated net peptide content.
