- Approved indication
- Adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycaemic control in patients 10 years and older with type 2 diabetes; reduce risk of major adverse cardiovascular events in adults with type 2 diabetes and established cardiovascular disease.

- Dose
- Adults: initiate 0.6 mg once daily, then 1.2 mg once daily; may increase to 1.8 mg once daily if additional glycaemic control is needed. Paediatric (10+): same 0.6 → 1.2 → 1.8 mg escalation.
- Frequency
- Once daily, any time of day, independent of meals
- Titration
- 0.6 mg daily for one week → 1.2 mg daily; after at least one week, may increase to 1.8 mg daily.
- Strength: 6 mg/mL solution in a pre-filled pen delivering 0.6, 1.2 or 1.8 mg.
